The European Champions Cup quarter-finals saw Bath visit Leinster.
And it was the home-side who got on the scoreboard first thanks to the boot of Ireland international Ian Madigan.
Not to be outdone England fly-half George Ford took it upon himself to put his side ahead.
A superb solo effort - Ford cut through the Leinster defence with ease to score the first try of the game.
But the struggling Bath scrum ensured Leinster had plenty of penalty attempts, and with Madigan in ruthlessly efficient form they led 15-5 at half time.
A second Bath try seven minutes into the second half ensured that they remained in contention.
Again, Ford exploiting some sluggish defence.
Stuart Hooper was on hand to receive the scoring pass and dive over from close range.
Ford was successful with the conversion, pulling his side to within three points - 15-12.
Another Madigan penalty took Leinster to 18, before a late penalty from Ford reduced it to three once more.
Leinster hung on to take the 18-15 win and book their place in the final four.
