Could Andy Murray make it 501 career wins?
Unseeded Dominic Thiem was standing in the Scot's way of a Miami Open semi final.
Thiem was playing in his first Master quarter and made it tough for the 2009 and 2013 champion.
Murray was broken in his second service game, with Thiem then holding to love to march into a commanding 4-1 lead. The 21-year-old went on to take the opener 6-3.
The world number four marched into a 3-0 lead at the start of the second set though.
After working hard to level the set at 4-4, Thiem lost it 6-4 after a couple of unforced errors, allowing Murray to take the match to a third set.
The two-time Grand Slam champion now had the momentum and some disciplined play allowed him to break Thiem in the fourth game.
Murray broke again en route to winning the last five games and seal victory in one and three-quarter hours, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.
Tomas Berdych or Juan Monaco would face Murray in the semis,
The two traded breaks early in the first set, but Berdych earned the pivotal break for a 5-3 lead. The 29-year-old Czech went on to serve out the first set at love.
Berdych broke for a 5-4 lead in the second set.
The Czech served out the 92-minute victory at love for a 6-3, 6-4 win.
