The three top-ranked female golfers in the world are playing in the ANA Inspiration this week and all three took time out of their preparations to speak to the media on Wednesday (1 April).

SOUNDBITE (English): Stacy Lewis, World No. 3, on changes since her win in 2011:

"Well, I feel like I'm a totally different player. You know, I've learned a lot in the battles down the back nine of being a little bit more patient, not trying to force things, knowing when you can and can't make birdies, when to go for stuff and when not to. You know, I think I was fortunate in 2011, and that was just Yani and I, kind of everybody, we kind of cleared ourselves from the pack, so I didn't have anybody else to worry about, which was nice at the time. But I've learned to just kind of hang around more, and it doesn't take perfect golf to win a golf tournament. It just takes being there and hitting the right shot at the right time."

SOUNDBITE (English): Inbee Park, World No. 2, on her win in 2013:

"I think I've really got to be honest. That week my game was nearly perfect. I mean, some weeks I get my game to that level, and even this year, as well, but that year, that week - I mean, this week, in 2013 this week my game was perfect. Right now I don't think I'm as good as that right now. I think I will get to that point sometime this year, but I think I was just a little bit unhappy with the ball-striking last week. I feel like my putter was getting back a little bit, but last week was just a little bit off and not where I wanted to be. But I saw the good signs with the putter last week, so yeah, if the putter works, I think I can still do it."

SOUNDBITE (English): Lydia Ko, World No. 1:

"Yeah, I mean, I've had a pretty good start to the season. I ended well obviously winning CME Titleholders, and just coming here I didn't know what to expect, especially with last year being pretty crazy for me. But yeah, one of my goals coming into this week was to be very consistent, give myself to be in good positions, and that's what I've been doing. Yeah, I feel great, and I played good last week at the Kia Classic, and I didn't play so good there last year, and I'm coming definitely with a little bit more confidence into this week."
