Quarter-final action from the Miami Open saw Andy Murray overcome Kevin Anderson in three sets.

The win giving Murray his 500th win on the ATP Tour and with it a sizeable post game snack.

Murray is the first Briton to ever reach this milestone.

Tomas Berdych played the ever-entertaining Gael Monfils. However with the Frenchman at a set down he took a tumble that would end his participation in the tournament.
    .
Berdych will next play unseeded Juan Monaco of Argentina, who beat Fernando Verdasco.

One of the stories of the tournament so far is the Austrian Dominic Thiem.

The 21-year-old was playing a man 20 places higher than him in the rankings - Frenchman Adrian Mannarino - yet he knocked out a seed for the second time in the tournament.

The Austrian will now play Andy Murray in the quarter-finals.

The final fourth round tie before the evening session saw David Ferrer defeat Gilles Simon in straight sets. With a one-side 6-0 second set.

Ferrer will face either four-time champion Novak Djokovic or Alexandr Dolgopolov.
