'ICC acting illegally' - Kamal

Thursday, April 02 2015 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Mustafa Kamal resigns as International Cricket Council (ICC) president and launches a scathing attack on 'ugly people' in the organisation after being replaced as a prize-giver at the World Cup final.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (English/Bangla): Mustafa Kamal, former ICC President

"I've resigned because it's impossible to work with those who conduct activities unconstitutionally and unlawfully,"

SOUNDBITE (English): Mustafa Kamal, former ICC President

"I have explained to you the reason why I have resigned, I have explained to you what happened. And I have explained to you about all the issues, all the pros and cons. And why I could not give away the trophies - I have explained you. Because those people are ugly people. Ugly people cannot be right people. So once their mindset is ugly, so they try to do the ugliest things. But they are not lucky. They are harassed, they are harassed. And they have lost I should say, if they think, a little bit up there (points to the top of his head) of their personal life and of their vast contribution towards cricket. And they feel on dirty winning in Melbourne what has happened, what they have perceived, I think they should keep this thing in their mind for days to come. So I am again requesting that these type of people should be away from cricket, otherwise cricket will be spoilt, cricket will not move forward. Whole cricket will be under the grip of polluted people. So I want and my earnest request to ICC is to revisit those things,"
