    Script:

Soundbite (english) Daniel Vettori, New Zealand, (on his thoughts on having played last match for New Zealand)

"Absolutely, to be able to finish in a final albeit without a win. Very grateful for the amount of support I had particularly from Brendon and the two Mikes (coach, and manager ..) to be able to get back from a number of injuries, to be here and be part of it and to be hopefully a big contributing factor to us making that final is something that I always treasure"

Soundbite (english) Daniel Vettori, New Zealand (on the support the team has received in the world cup)

"I don't think it is a surprise. I think you always know that it's there but I think hopefully the way we performed, the way we have been led and the style of cricket that we played brought a number of fans in and I think that coupled with winning means people love that. So let's hope that the legacy of this world cup, between 1992 and this one, there is some lasting memories for everyone".

Soundbite (english) Daniel Vettori, New Zealand (on the future of New Zealand cricket)

" I think it's only upwards. If you look at the talent in domestic cricket at the moment, first class cricket there is a number of people who are pushing for a place in the team. You see Mike Henry come in and do so well and there is a number of guys like him. So these are really exciting times to be part of New Zealand cricket".
