SOUNDBITE (Portuguese) Fernando Santos, Portugal Coach:

"I believe the strategy we set up decided the match. We could have gone for a different option, to adjust to our opponent - considering that our opponent uses 2-1 in the midfield, we could have felt tempted to play 1-2. I believed that we had not the need to behave in that way. We had no need to behave as a small team, which respects the opponent and plays according to its opponent. We play according to ourselves having in mind our opponent, as I said before in a press conference here, and I believe we did that very well."

"We won in a place where we did not win for more than 30 years, we beat Argentina who we did not beat for 40 years, we won this one today, so now I hope to carry on with this rhythm and certainly with this players and this (victory) brings confidence, the way we've been working, this group, everything gives us confidence."

"We're not close yet (to being in the Euro 2016). As I said yesterday, of course a victory today in this match, as we only depended on ourselves , this victory reinforces that capability of only relying on ourselves, but we still have 4 more matches, many points. Four matches to go, one home and three away so we still have a lot of work. Certainly that the attitude will be the same and if we keep up with this attitude it will be very hard for anyone to beat Portugal, I have no doubt of that."
