  • Intro:

Mirim Lee shot a six-under-par third round 66 on Saturday (28th March) for a one stroke over Alison Lee in the Kia Classic.

    Script:

Perfect conditions for some low scoring at the Kia Classic for Saturday's third round in California.

Anna Nordqvist seemed to have shot herself out of contention with a 1st round 72, yet looked in good touch around the greens and carded a -4 under 68 to finish at 7 under.

After shooting five birdies and an eagle, world number one Lydia Ko held a share of the lead through 14 holes, but bogeys on 16 and 18 left her with a five-under 67 and a share of fifth place on 12-under.

Ko wasn't the only one with deft touches around the green. Sakura Yokomine shot low to put herself at 13-under for the tournament.

Alison Lee, an American in her rookie season on Tour, sits alone in second place on 15-under.

Lee carded four birdies in a six-hole span around the turn and finished for a six-under 66 that took her to within one stroke of the lead.

That person in top spot is Mirim Lee of South Korea.

Lee shot a 31 on the back nine, with one of her birdies coming here at the par 3 14th.

The 24-year-old South Korean, shot a six-under 66 to move to 16-under, to take a one shot lead into the final round.
