SOUNDBITE: (English) Michael Clarke, Australia captain (On World Cup win)

"It's been 245 games for my country, i've been absolutely blessed. I couldn't have asked to have been part of any better team whether when I started my career and won in 2007 or won tonight. This team is no different, a lot of character and at the end of their careers, i think they'll be great to the game."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Michael Clarke, Australia captain (Q: The black armband you wear and everything the boys went through four months ago, how proud are you that they managed to win the World Cup given how it started?)

"It makes it more special, Hughesy is thought about on a daily basis, the last couple of months for me personally have been harder than when he passed away. I've been in regular contact with his sister and family and I know they'd have been watching tonight. I guess that is what makes it so special, we are still thinking about him and we always will. I won't play another test match without him on my heart and I will for the rest of my career.. We spoke about it as a team and we all felt we played this tournament with 16 players in our squad and that will continue for the rest of my career that's for sure."
