Richie Ramsey wins the Trophee Hassan II by a single shot.

It was tight at the top of the leaderboard heading into the final round of the Trophee Hassan II of Morocco in Agadir.

Richie Ramsey of Scotland had started the day in a three way tie for the lead at seven-under-par.

He birdied four straight holes on the front nine including a superb chip off the green at the par five fifth.

But then came a mid-round slump.

He three-putted at the seventh for bogey, before struggling here at the par three eighth where he made a triple bogey.

Losing four shots over two holes put him at level par at the turn.

Regaining his composure, he reeled off three straight birdies soon after the turn to force his way back up the leaderboard.

Poised at ten-under-par overall, he finished off his round with a steady four pars for a final card of 69.

Romain Wattel - joint leader at the start of the day - was one player giving chase.

After a consistent start to his round, he bogeyed the 14th hole and seemed to be in trouble at the par five 15th.

But he chipped in to salvage par and sustain his challenge for the title.

A birdie at the 17th hole ensured that he trailed by one heading into the final hole.

But his challenging chip stayed out and Wattel finished the day with a round of 70, to sit at nine-under-par overall.

That meant the title went to Ramsey for his third win on the European Tour.
