SOUNDBITE (English) Haroon Lorgat, Chief executive officer of Cricket South Africa (on disappointment of not making the final)
" All of us are quite disappointed that we didn't go another step or two forward, we came up against a fabulous New Zealand team, but clearly our chaps leave us with much pride. It has been a hard fought tournament, the team has progressed wonderfully well."
SOUNDBITE (English) Russell Domingo, coach of the South African cricket team (on not making drastic changes)
"In my opinion there's such a fine line in winning and losing and that line was proven once again in the semi-finals in Auckland. And for us to now want to make radical or drastic changes, or chuck this out or chuck that out based on a boundary with one ball to spare, in my opinion it would be a little bit immature. We need to let the dust settle a bit before taking stock and going forward and deciding what route we need to take going forward into a couple of big series and some big test match cricket coming up in the next couple of months."
SOUNDBITE (English) AB de Villiers, captain of the South African cricket team (on missing chances in the game)
"We tried our absolute best. Yes, here and there skills let us down, a couple of drop catches, miss run outs. Those things happen and unfortunately they happened at the wrong time. We were still in the game, twelve off six balls, sometimes you win those and sometimes you don't. So I think we played a decent game of cricket unfortunately hell broke towards the end there and it didn't go our way."
