Second round victories for Andy Murray and Tomas Berdych, but Feliciano Lopez crashes out to Dominic Thiem in the early action from Miami on Friday (27th March).

The second round action at the Miami Open continued on Friday.

Eighth seed Tomas Berdych faced 18 year old South Korean Hyeon Chung.

Chung had secured his first ATP Tour win in the first round when he beat Marcel Granollers, yet Berdych's forehand was in fine form.

The Czech player took the opening set 6-3, but was trailing 2-4 in the second set when rain forced the players off court.

Before Berdych finished off the South Korean in perfect style.

Two time former Champion Andy Murray faced Donald Young of the USA in his second round match.

In a repeat of the Davis Cup tie from three weeks ago,

Murray made a fast start opening out a commanding 5-1 lead in the first set.

Young showed some resistance, yet the Scot took the first 6-4.

Murray pushed on from there, losing just two games in the second set as he cruised to a 6-4 6-2 win.

But there was one shock in the offing as tenth seed Feliciano Lopez faced Dominic Thiem.

Thiem, taking a tight first set, winning it 7-6(4).

Lopez took the second 6-4.

But despite a swing in momentum, it was Thiem had the upper hand in the decider.

The Austrian serving out for a 7-6, 4-6, 6-3 win.
