SOUNDBITE: (Mandarin) Zhang Jiandong, vice mayor of Beijing and the executive vice president of Beijing 2022 Olympics Bid Committee:

"During the inspection in Zhang Jiakou today, the members of the IOC evaluation commission asked us a lot of questions, including those on venue constructions, post-game use, the operations of the current ski resorts and the relocations plans for the villagers. Our exchanges are really deep-going. We also provided comprehensive answers to the questions. We will take their opinions and suggestions very seriously."

SOUNDBITE: (Mandarin) Li Nina, silver medallist in aerials at 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics:

"The post-Games use will be great to Chinese athletes. Some of the venues in Zhangjiakou would be transformed into the national team training bases. It will train our future athletes. We don't have a centralised training bases at the moment for different winter sports teams. But it will be sorted if we can have those venues built for the Winter Olympics. We will have first class facilities, and we can make good preparations there for the Olympics in future."
