SOUNDBITE (English) Thomas Vanek, Minnesota Wild:

"Yeah, from being here I know this is a team that comes out hard in front of their fans and that's exactly what happened. Back to back I'm sure they had a few days rest and I'm sure that's what they were talking about. But again, we weathered the storm. Dubi (goaltender Devan Dubnyk) was great for us and we slowly found our game in the second and I think in the third we took it to them pretty good."

SOUNDBITE (English) Thomas Vanek, Minnesota Wild:

"Pretty confident. I mean the road is a tough place to play and we're winning games on the road so it's good. For us it's all about picking up points and staying in that playoff hunt."

SOUNDBITE (English) Zach Parise, Minnesota Wild:

"He's (goaltender Devan Dubnyk) why we were able to get out of that first period not down 5-0. He was that good. Once again gave us a chance to rebound and get ourselves going a little bit."

SOUNDBITE (English) John Tavares, New York Islanders:

"I thought we deserved to win the game. I think their goalie played well, obviously gave them a chance to win. So did Jaro (goaltender Jaroslav Halak) I mean they made a good push and have some good shifts in the third they did. But I though for most of the game we outplayed them and we dictated the play. We've just got to score on our chances."

SOUNDBITE (English) John Tavares, New York Islanders:

"You've just got to find a way to be better than the goalie when you have your chances. you've got to find a way to put it by him. It's part of competing, it's part of our game and we had good looks, good chances. Obviously it doesn't seem like we get some of those second or third opportunities bouncing our way, coming as easy as we'd like or as frequently, but we're doing some good things. I thought we created a lot of chances. I thought we had the puck a lot. We skated hard. We really put pressure on them. It's just putting the puck in the net."

SOUNDBITE (English) John Tavares, New York Islanders:

"Yeah, I think so. Like I said, I think we dictated the play and I think we controlled a lot of that game. A team that's been playing well. Obviously a lot of things are going well for them. They've got their game and have been a tough team all year to play against. So I like what we were able to generate. It's just a matter of us being able to put the puck in the net and stay with it."
