Reaction following New Zealand's four wicket win over South Africa in their World Cup semi final on Tuesday (24th March).

    Script:

    SOUNDBITE: (English), AB de Villiers:

"We play this game to win games of cricket, to glory home and make a difference in the nations heart and hopes, and we didn't do that. We didn't achieve that, and it hurts quite a bit. Gutted. We had our chances and we didn't take them."

SOUNDBITE: (English), AB de Villiers (on his botched run out attempt of Corey Anderson):

"That's one of the moments. We had a few chances to win the game tonight. It's not the only chance. Tried my best to catch and I didn't. Life moves on. I didn't take that, and unfortunately, we had our chance again after that. But, yes, if you want to see it that way, that I cost us, then I'll gladly take it."

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Russell Domingo:

"I suppose we were a little disappointed we were only given 16 extra runs. I remember we played against Pakistan a couple of weeks ago, and they were given ten runs after being bowled out with four overs to spare and we just got six more. So it's quite an intricate scenario, intricate way of working things out. We would have thought that maybe we would have gotten a little bit more, banking on maybe getting 25 or something like that. That's just what was given to us. That's the way it is."

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Grant Elliott:

"For the fans and the four million people in New Zealand - I think the supporters, that win is for them. The support has been overwhelming and there has been a lot of talk about us just making the semis and never quite kicking on. So, I know it means a lot to the team but you could see the emotions in the stands today - it means a lot to a lot of people in New Zealand. So, hopefully we can repay the faith in the final as well."

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Grant Elliott:

"I really did feel the pressure. I felt the pressure - I had two balls, Dan (Vettori) said we weren't going to run to the 'keeper again, so I knew it was up to me. I had two balls to try and take us. I knew that four runs would do it because a tie was as good as a win, so that was always in the back of my mind. But I think the chase we probably left it a little bit late to be honest and it was stressful towards the end there."
