Australian opening batsman Aaron Finch on Tuesday (24th March) looked ahead to the second semi-final in the Cricket World Cup.

SOUNDBITE (English) Aaron Finch, Australia: (on his batting struggles).

"Whenever you don't get runs, it starts to build up. But no, I feel like I've been batting nicely. Like I said yesterday, just to go back to a couple of check points and make sure that I'm on top of my game and feeling good and hitting the ball nicely, that's all I can ask. And whatever happens on Thursday will happen. I mean, I'm not someone who overanalyzes it a hell of a lot. In terms of what Ricky (Ponting) said, I hadn't heard that... but he has got his own opinions. When you look down our batting list, everyone has been batting beautifully, and I'm probably the only one who has missed out in the last couple of games. But like I said, I'm confident going into this game, I've got no reason not to be. I'm hitting the ball nicely and I'm looking for some big runs."

SOUNDBITE (English) Aaron Finch, Australia: (on how he could do with some luck like Shane Watson had in the quarter-finals).

"I tried it, I referred one on the middle stump, didn't I?... You never know, you hit a couple in the middle at the start of the innings and things seem to flow on sometimes and you get a bit of a roll on. It's just one of those things. And when you are not hitting them that well, to get down the other end and hand it over to David (Warner) to take a bit of the strike, and just try and work your way into an innings in a different way as opposed to boundaries and trying to score quickly. So, it is just one of those things, it is not far away. I feel great. It might be just that one shot early in your innings that gets you going to make a big one."

SOUNDBITE (English) Aaron Finch, Australia: (on India's turnaround).

"I think they have gone with a pretty similar strategy. They've gone with a game plan that seems to be clicking for them now. I think after the Test series and the Tri-series it was... and we played them again in a warm-up game... their plan hasn't looked to have changed too much, but I suppose they have just spent a lot more time in the country. Probably when you are looking to be aggressive with the new ball, being here for four and half months probably has adapted their length a little bit. And they've got skillful bowlers."
