Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton explains the difficulties with the track at Sepang in Malaysia - the next stop in Formula One.

"Turn one is very, very long so you are breaking in a straight line then coming off the brakes trying to run speed in. Then as you do that the front of the car lifts up. And the car goes into under-steer which means it doesn't turn. So you are waiting a really long time. It is quite a long turn one. And it is very slow. So by the time you get round all the way round turn one you have to stick as far to the right to then enter into turn two. Then when you have got into turn two which is immediately after - the track falls away. And when it does that the grip is quite low."

"This circuit is incredibly tough. Obviously the ambient temperatures make it difficult for the tyres and for the car. And also for the driver. But it's a real good combination of a couple of slow speed corner but mostly medium and high speed. It's very, very tough on tyres. We usually have a harder compound here. You have to have a very stiff and very consistent aero-package. That means the car can't be moving around the whole time. It has to have a very stiff platform. And then as a driver it is really about trying to find the flow and trying to use every inch of the circuit. And really trying to be as smooth as you can. Because every single little slide of the tyres means you will lose grip in the laps so trying to put the sectors together is tough. But again it's one of those circuits that you have to slowly build up to. Because it is so fast. The better you are at really studying the corners and really perfecting them - the more confidence you get. As a high speed circuit it is all about confidence."
