A time-lapse video of the building work at the Olympic Park in Rio has been released, as Fifa agree to Manaus being used for Olympic football.

In 18 months time this will be the centre of the sporting world for a few weeks at least. Rio de Janeiro's City Hall has released this time lapse footage of the Olympic Park taking shape, the building work is now on time after a shaky start. This is where the International Broadcast centre will be, as well as the velodrome and the tennis centre. And these are the arena's where sports such as basketball, wrestling and judo will take place.

Elsewhere Fifa has withdrawn its objection to Manaus hosting Olympic football and so we now know that matches will take place here, as well as in Sao Paulo, Salvador, Brasília, Belo Horizonte and of course in Rio - where games will be played at the Olympic Stadium and the Maracana. Brazil will hope their women and under 23s can fare better than their senior men did at the World Cup.
