French investigators reach helicopter crash site

    French investigators reached the crash site in northern Argentina on Wednesday (11th March) where ten people - including three French sporting stars - were killed in a helicopter accident.

    Script:

    A team of French investigators arrived on Wednesday at the crash site in northern Argentina where eight French citizens and two Argentine pilots died when their helicopters collided on Monday.

    They were taking part in the reality TV show "Dropped." which flies celebrities into rough terrain by helicopter and films their attempts to find food and shelter.

    Three investigators from the French office of Aeronautical Investigation and Analysis (BEA) examined the crash sites of both helicopters at the foothills of the Andean mountains.

    Local residents and media looked on as they carried out their work alongside Argentine investigators.

    A spokesman for the La Rioja regional government told The Associated Press that federal Judge Daniel Herrera Piedrabuena was interviewing crew members as part of the crash investigation.
