Manslaughter investigation opened after helicopter crash

    Tragic news from Argentina as 10 people have died after two helicopters collided.

    Among the dead were 3 French sports personalities. Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer Camille Muffat, Olympic boxer Alexis Vastine and successful sailor Florence Arthaud.

    They were taking part in the reality TV show "Dropped." which flies celebrities into rough terrain by helicopter and films their attempts to find food and shelter.

    Both Argentinean pilots, Juan Carlos Castillo and Roberto Abate also died as the helicopters crashed mid-air near Villa Castelli in La Rioja province close to the border with Chile.

    Former Arsenal striker Sylvain Wiltord, is among the other French athletes on the show and he tweeted the following.

    "I am sad for my friends, I'm trembling, I'm horrified, I don't have words. I can't say anything,"

    French President Francois Hollande released a statement where he said "The sudden death of our fellow French nationals is a cause of immense sadness".

    The cause of the crash is still unclear and investigations are under way.
