Intro:
Canada beat Japan 3-2 in the Davis Cup to advance to the Davis Cup quarter-finals.
Script:
Canada were aiming for just their third Davis Cup World Group win against Japan in Vancouver.
They certainly had to do it the hard way. Leading 2-1 after Saturday's doubles it was Milos Raonic against Japans' world number four Kei Nishikori.
And in a match that lasted more than three hours Nishikori proved too strong. He took it 6-4 in the fifth set meaning the contest would be decided in the final match between Vasek Pospisil and Go Soeda.
Soeda was a late replacement and it showed. But Pospisil was finding winners from all angles.
He took it in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4.
His 14th ace finished off the match and his team mates and their fans certainly enjoyed it.
Up next is an away tie against Belgium.
