Round two of eighteen in the 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship season took place on Sunday.

Ryan Villopoto of the United States won the event at the Thailand Circuit in Nakhonchaisri.

The Kawasaki rider came home in front of Belgian Clement Desalle, on board a Suzuki, and the Yamaha of Frenchman Romain Febvre in Race 1.

Six-time defending world champion Antonio Cairoli of Italy followed up his fifth place with victory in Race 2.

Desalle was again the runner-up, with Villopoto crossing the finish line in third position.

Febvre was fourth, with Kevin Strijbos rounding out the top five.

Villopoto collected 45 points as the "Stars and Stripes" stood as the middle flag on the podium of the FIM Motocross World Championship for the first time since 2009.

Desalle is, though, top of the overall standings on 88 points heading into Round 3 in Neuquen, Argentina.

Cairoli is second with 79 points, with Germany's Maximilian Nagl just one point further back.
