  • Intro:

Australia batsman Aaron Finch previews Sunday's World Cup Pool B game against Sri Lanka.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Aaron Finch, Australia batsman:

"I don't think it really matters who you play. To win a World Cup, you have to beat the best teams in the world and so, this game, it's important, I mean you don't want to finish in the bottom two of your group, it does make it a little bit harder with the path to the final, I suppose, if you go that far. But I think just in general, we've been playing some really good cricket so it's not something that we're afraid of, we're not afraid of losing. We think if we stick to the basics, that we can get the job done."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Aaron Finch, Australia batsman:

"I think If you look at it either way, the balance is right. I mean when you've got the players like (George) Bailey, (Shane) Watson, (Pat) Cummins, (Xavier) Doherty on the sidelines, I think that's a really strong position for the team to be in. And when you go down our list, whether you have (Steve) Smith at three, or Watson at three, I think it's really well-balanced because we've got so many bowling options at the moment. And then you've got the power of the middle to lower order with (Glenn) Maxwell, (Shaun) Marsh, (Brad) Haddin, even (Mitchell) Starc and (Mitchell) Johnson to an extent to, and (James) Faulkner of course. So, I mean we've got so much flexibility with our team, that I don't think it matters which way you go."
