  • Intro:

FIFA conference to mark International Women's Day.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Sepp Blatter, FIFA president:

"It (tolerance) forms the foundation of everything this organisation does through football. Women's football is one of the key elements in my personal programme, and women's football is developing quickly. We can say now that more than 30 million girls and women play the game all around the world. It is now our duty to drive this growth to its full potential so that every girl and woman has the opportunity to play and participate in football - play and participate."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Moya Dodd, co-opted member of the FIFA Executive Committee and chairwoman of the FIFA Task Force for Women's Football:

"if you want to know what a quota looks like, it's me, actually, and whether I do a good job or a bad job is not for me to judge in the end, it's for you all to judge, but I do know that I have a perspective, I bring a perspective, and Lydia (Nsekera) brings a perspective, and Sonia Bien-Aime brings a perspective, into the FIFA Executive Committee room that would not be there otherwise, and I think diversity of perspectives is valuable in any organisation, football or otherwise, because you make better decsions when you have diverse perspectives in the mix."
