SOUNDBITE (English) Tony Pulis, West Brom head coach:

    (On penalty)

"I haven't seen it, but Ben (Foster) should catch it anyway. The thing is - people talk about Ben. Ben has been absolutely fantastic for us all season. He has saved us points and has won us games. So he has had an off night for us tonight, but there will be no one at this football club who will criticise Ben. He has been brilliant. He has had a poor night tonight. But everyone has those days.

"Yeah. I have seen the (Alan) Hutton challenge and there's a lot of criticism thrown at referees over the past couple of weeks. I am not going to go there. Let other people decide what they think about it and go from there. Hutton gets a cross in for the goal. But I don't want to criticise (referee) John (moss) or anyone else. I think referees get enough stick as it is."

SOUNDBITE (English) Tim Sherwood, Aston Villa manager:

"Massive. Huge for us. And I think we have got a group of players who are not really suited to a relegation battle to be honest. The old-fashioned style is blood and thunder and dig out results. So we had to change it and we have to play. We have to play as if we are not in a relegation battle and we have to pass the ball and move. And I think we did that. Especially in the first half. We controlled the football match. It takes bravery to be able to do that. In front of a big expectant crowd."
