SOUNDBITE (English) John Terry, Chelsea captain:

"Delighted to get my first goal in a major final obviously. More delighted with the team's performance and the victory today."
Journalist's question: They made you work for it didn't they?
"They did, they're a good side. Big London derby as well always has its part to play. And I think overall we probably deserved it and at the right time we scored our goals."

SOUNDBITE (English) John Terry, Chelsea captain: (On prospect of this being the start of second trophy-laden era under Jose Mourinho).

"It's given us a taste of where we want to be at the end of the season, lifting more trophies obviously. This is our first one collectively, and looking back in 2004-05 it definitely had that effect on the squad. Hopefully it can have the same effect again to this new and upcoming squad."

SOUNDBITE (English) Cesc Fabregas, Chelsea midfielder: (On it being his first trophy as a Chelsea player).

"Yeah, it's always special when it's the first trophy for someone in a club. We take it in a positive way. I think it will give confidence and a big boost for the rest of the season. But at the same time, you know, it's a little celebration because now we all have to go home and rest, tomorrow training and prepare for Wednesday because it's a big game (away to West Ham United in the Premier League). Man(chester) City lost today and we could go eight points ahead, and we have to make it worth it."

SOUNDBITE (English) Didier Drogba, Chelsea substitute:

"I hope it has the same effect that it did to us the first time we won it (under Mourinho in 2005). You know, after that we got more experience in big moments, big games, big finals like this one. It's a step forward for this team. We want to grow up... and I'm really happy to be part of this team and help them to become better and stronger."
