With his side due to visit second-placed Manchester City in the English Premier League on Wednesday evening (4th March), Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson admitted on Monday (2nd March), "As the season wears on, the pressure certainly does build" and said, "There's no getting away from the fact that we've got to better results."

"Here on in, you know, we've got to get... there's no getting away from the fact that we've got to better results and we've got to get back to winning ways. Obviously, the next game gives us a very tough test. So, it's important that we're positive but also that we play as well as we can."

SOUNDBITE Nigel Pearson, Leicester City manager:

"Well, when you consider we've been bottom since November and the fact that we've - and the players have - gone out and played I think with some really good performances. I think that shows a resilience in itself. As the season wears on, the pressure certainly does build. You can't get away from that - and my job is to keep the players freed up in their minds so that they can go out and play. And that's what we intend to do. It remains to be seen how successful we are at that. But I do believe, and there is a lot of belief in the dressing room as well, that we can turn the situation around."

SOUNDBITE Nigel Pearson, Leicester City manager (on Manchester City).

"People have told me that they're in a bit of a sticky spell. Well, sticky spell for them is not a sticky spell for us is it? Let's be honest. And so, success is relative. They have two players for each position, and they have quality there. So whichever side they decide to put up against us will have quality in it. But I would also like to think that they'll be aware that we have some dangerous players - but what we have to do is show that on the day that we are not just a capable side but a side that is not going to go anywhere and lie down. And that is... that's something that's important to me and I think important to the players."
