"With regard to PyeongChang I can only tell you what... I don't know what the organising committee told you... I can only tell you that in the report to the Executive Board the delays were clearly identified and that this I think was a very good move because we had some concerns being mentioned by some international federations."

SOUNDBITE (English) Thomas Bach, IOC President:

"I would not like to go into detail (over) who has to talk with whom and at what time. The principle is that we would like to have the proposal from Tokyo until September this year, and then we will prepare internally for decision making with our programme commission, with the Executive Board."

"With regard to Qatar, I know they're bidding for the Games is not about money. This is about the quality of the bid. And this is about addressing the Olympic Agenda 2020. And, therefore, you will understand that I will not speculate on a bid from a country where at least now we don't have a bid."
