SOUNDBITE: (English) Louis Van Gaal, Manchester United manager

"I think we started not so good the first quarter of the game, very nervous perhaps because of the loss against Swansea, but after the first quarter we came into the match, we created chances and didn’t give chances away anymore and in the second half we played very well, we switched the play via the wings and created a lot of chances, we scored goals, so I was very happy."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Gus Poyet, Sunderland manager (On the referee seemingly sending off the wrong player)

"If a referee tells you something that doesn't happen then you try to tell him that didn't happen, he said he gave the penalty for foul by Wes Brown, so you go and tell him what happened as Brown was not even involved, so how can you give a penalty for something that didn't happen."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Gus Poyet, Sunderland manager

"The ones that are checking on the referees always go their way (back them up), we are human beings and make a decision today, I didn't change early enough to not let that penalty happen and that was my decision and I can make a mistake so I need to accept as well and not hide, because in the moment they are hiding a little bit."
