SOUNDBITE: (English) Slaven Bilic, Besiktas manager:

"First half was tough game, tight game. They had few counterattacks because they have tremendous space. To be fair to them, they were lacking some players in the midfield. They didn't have the creation for the ball to float, but upfront they.... so much quality, so much pace and you have to double that. We've done that, and then the second half was all ours, was all us. I think we, not only because of Demba (Ba's goal), but we deserved to… they were fading, they were fading, fading, fading. We were dominating, then in the first (half of) extra time as well we were much better. Then they put Rickie Lambert, who can always hold the ball up, and then they didn't create but they eased a little bit then pressure (on them) and then it came to penalties."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Slaven Bilic, Besiktas manager:

"Of course you don't know how it is going to (end).... You can practice the penalties hundred times, but that is in the training. Eighty thousand people, Liverpool, penalties, hah, you've got to be very brave. So, as I said, I told them: 'there is no negative pressure. However it ends.... we were great, so proud of you.' But when I've seen.... seven of them, like in school, when I ask: 'who wants to take the penalties,' seven of them go like this (raises hand), and I say: 'okay, we are not running away from shooting.' They wanted to shoot them and that gave us the idea, yes, we're going to do it, and then we've done it, and it's brilliant, of course. Brilliant."
