SOUNDBITE: Steve Bruce, Hull City manager on aspiring to be a club like Stoke.
"A club like Stoke is something that we can aspire to. We've got to try and stay here and the longer you're in it the better your squad becomes, the better your facilities become and that's got to be my aim here. And I'm sure that mirrors everybody concerned with Hull City, if we can copy somebody like them then that would be terrific."
SOUNDBITE: Steve Bruce, Hull City manager on the importance of beating the teams around you.
"I think the result against Manchester City gave everybody a lift right at the right time. We've had back to back wins against team around us, and how good that feels and what it does for you in terms of... Two weeks ago we were in the bottom three, now all of a sudden we're four points clear of the bottom three. We've got to maintain it, we're not out of the woods yet. We're still in it, we're in a horrible dog fight and there's eight or nine teams in and around us who are all feeling it. So if you can't put a couple of other victories together, if you can't string a couple of results together at this particular stage of the season against the team around you, then it always, always... I'm sure it really helps you."
SOUNDBITE: Steve Bruce, Hull City manager on Dame N'Doye taking a pay cut to play in England.
"I've never known anybody take a wage cut as big as what he did. I mean he was on a big handsome contract out in Moscow. So the big thing, all through the transfer windows was I knew he wanted to come to England, but how much? In the end we got our man because he sacrificed because he wanted to play in England and if he keeps playing the way he does, he's going to do what he wants to do and what he wants to achieve which is terrific, let's hope he keeps it up."
