Andy Murray and Tomas Berdych reached the quarter-finals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on Wednesday (25th February).

Andy Murray took to the court at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship against Joao Sousa, looking to make the quater-finals.

Murray cruised through the opening set serving his fourth ace of the match to take it 6-0.

The Portuguese raised his game in the second set but the number three seed took it with ease once again.

The Scot won 6-2 to progress to the quarter-finals where he will face Croatian youngster Borna Coric.

Tomas Berdych had a fight on his hands against Simone Bolelli, producing a fine forehand crosscourt winner to save the first set before taking the tie-break 9-7.

The second set was also tight but it was the Italian who prevailed, breaking his Czech opponent to take it 7-5.

But the third set was one-sided with Berdych taking it six games to love to set up a quarter-final with Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine.
