SOUNDBITE: (English) Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager (on facing his old club Monaco):

"Well Monaco, when you look at the numbers in the team, they made 11 points in the group games, scored four goals and conceded one. So that means they defend very well and that is certainly what they will try to do tomorrow. They are very quick on the break, quick in transition so…that's what you expect from them."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager (on their 'easy' draw):

"Look have had 17 consecutive years in the champions league, that means we have learned the lesson that easy is a word you have to ban in the champions league and it's hard earned, every time we were in there it was hard wins or it was one goal difference you go out or one goal you stay in. That means you have to work very hard."

SOUNDBITE: (French) Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager (on whether Arsenal are favourites):

"I've got no problem with that, I think that's part of the mind games before the game. I won't shake off this pressure, I think perhaps we just have a bit more experience in this competition. Monaco finished first in their group, we finished second in ours so I do think it's pretty balanced, pretty even because even if we are considered favourites it's not a problem for me because I think it's important to play games like this."
