On whether England are due for a big one
"Look in a World Cup anything is possible and they've got some very good players. I think a lot of match winners with bat and ball and we have always had pretty good battles with them over the last few years. So we are expecting another good one on Friday".

On his assessment of England team
"They are a dangerous side, they've got obviously lot of quality players, some are in form, some are not, so much so...their seam attack has got pace and bounce and a pretty good mix. And they bat deep, they are a dangerous outfit".

On the performance of associate teams
"Look, I think Ireland is an excellent side. They will be a real chance to make to the quarter finals. Scotland and Afghanistan are both dangerous outfits, I don't know as much about UAE, as those other two but... I have seen a lot of associate cricket in the last few years, obviously with Kenya, there are some very good cricketers out there. So i was certainly not surprised by Ireland's performance the other day".
SOUNDBITE (English) Grant Elliot, New Zealand
On conditions in Wellington
"I don't think the evening plays too much a part in Wellington. It generally is a little bit slow, spinners come into it a bit, but it's a good batting wicket, high scoring game and it will be pretty good having a full stadium. From what I hear it is packed crowd, so that will be quite different. You know Westpac (the Wellington ground) is not always packed, it will be great to be there in my home city and experience the atmosphere".
