India return to training after Pakistan win

  • Intro:

India returned to training for the first time since their ICC Cricket World Cup win over bitter rivals Pakistan with a light session at Melbourne's Junction Oval

    Script:

Cricket kit at the ready, Indian captain MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, arrive for practice in Australia.

An extensive team talk was the order of the day as India look to keep up momentum as they trained for the first time since Sunday's comfortable 76 run win over Pakistan - there was even time for an hour-long football match.

Not known for their footballing skills - the first part of the session certainly seemed relaxed for MS Dhoni and his men.

Then the more serious business began - with both so called 'middle practice' and net practice taking place at the Junction Oval in Melbourne.

Cricket lovers and some of Melbourne's local Indian community seized the opportunity to watch some of cricket's biggest stars up close as well.

Following the light session, the Indian players will be given a further day off on Thursday before ramping up preparations ahead of their meeting with South Africa at the MCG on the weekend.
