    SOUNDBITE (English) Moeen Ali, England

(on how tough New Zealand could be)

"I think Australia have set the standards, with how good they are. New Zealand is going to be just as hard, we feel. So we going to have to up our skill level in our game a little bit against New Zealand. So this shows how tough international cricket is, especially in the major tournament we are going to have to be ready."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Moeen Ali, England

(whether playing Australia early helps England)

"Exactly, that was probably the worst we played in Australia throughout the whole trip so far. So it's good to get that game out of the way now, even though obviously it was a bad result for us. We just look forward now into Friday."

SOUNDBITE (English) Moeen Ali, England (about 300 being a par score)

"I think so, I think 300 is just par you know. Teams are chasing down a bit more than, or really getting close now. So with the field restrictions and wickets and stuff being so good now, that is something that every team is going to target to get at least 300 (runs)."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Moeen Ali, England

(on whether England still has a chance)

"Hundred per cent. We have got so much to play for, just one game. The world cup is not decided on one game, it is a long period of time, a long way to go, and hopefully we can get some good practice in and Friday we can come back and ready to go."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Moeen Ali, England

"Most teams have now guys who can smash the ball towards the end. Like I said New Zealand have power throughout their batting line-up from the top all the way down, so we are going to have to be on our A-game especially in the last 10-15 overs where New Zealand are very very dangerous."
