"I'm not going to say that we are going to make upsets. If we can play to the best of our ability we can beat anyone. We are hoping to win our first game and put it out of the way so we can get a good start to this World Cup tour."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Mahmudullah Riyad, Bangladesh all rounder (On the team's poor form heading into the tournament)

"The preparation has been good though we didn't win the two practice matches. We experimented in those games because management wanted to give everyone a chance, to have a go. Preparation wise we are feeling very confident about the day after tomorrow's game. And we're looking forward to winning it."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Mahmudullah Riyad, Bangladesh all rounder (On facing Afghanistan)

"They have beaten us at the last Asian Cup, but we had a win against them in the T20 World Cup so I think it will be a very good contest between us. They are a very good side as well so whoever plays good cricket they are going to win."
