Stan Wawrinka was looking for his sixth straight victory over Tomas Berdych when the two met in the final of the World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam on Sunday.

And it was Berdych who found the first break. Moving 4-2 ahead in the first set.

A single break was all that was required for him to take the set 6-4.

However, Wawrinka responded in the second, breaking Berdych to lead 5-3.

At 40-30 the man from Switzerland had set point, and the World No 8 taking it with this forehand.

Wawrinka looked in the mood and already at a break up in the third, he found another to lead 4-1.

Berdych did come back to force Wawrinka to serve for the match.

However, he held out to take the Rotterdam title, 4-6, 6-3. 6-4. Wawrinka extending his winning run to six over Berdych.
