Wawrinka and Raonic go through

Sunday, February 15 2015 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Stanislas Wawrinka beat Gilles Muller and Milos Raonic fought back from a set down to beat Sergiy Stakhovsky in the World Tennis Tournament quarter-finals in Rotterdam.

    Script:

Stanislas Wawrinka needed three sets in both of his Rotterdam matches before this quarter-final against Gilles Muller. The Swiss had no such problems here though, he edged a tight first set on a tie-break winning 28 of his 29 service points.

His serve was just as strong in the second set, which he won 6-3 and fittingly saw out with a love service game.

Wawrinka will face Milos Raonic in the semi-finals after the Canadian fought back from a set down against Sergiy Stakhovsky.

The Ukrainian took the first 6-2 but Raonic sent the match into a decider by taking the second set 6-3.

He then sent down six aces in the third set, including match point, to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.
