Breezy conditions at the Black Mountain resort made life tricky for the field on day two of the Thailand Classic.

Anirban Lahiri was one of those to struggle.

The Indian made his European Tour breakthrough by winning the Malaysian Open last week but he could only card an even par round of 72.

Thomas Bjorn also had his difficulties after a good start - the Dane going birdie then eagle at holes one and two before dropping shots.

Thongchai Jaidee came as close as anyone to making a hole in one at the par-three 14th - the Thai did shoot a round of 66 to leave him in a share of third spot on the leaderboard on nine under.

Australia's Scott Hend enjoyed eight birdies in his round of 68 - he too is on nine under par going into the final two rounds.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat leads the Thai challenge on home soil - a second successive round of 67 leaves him on ten under overall and just one shot behind the leader.

Bur Miguel Angel Jimenez is the man to catch.

After suffering from a slight head cold during his opening round, the Spaniard was back to his best form on Friday.

Seven birdies in a sparkling round of 66 propels him to eleven under par and a one shot lead.
