Raonic survives scare in Rotterdam

    World number six Milos Raonic comes from a set down to beat Andrey Kuznetsov, Gilles Simon sees off Joao Sousa and Vasek Pospisil beats Philipp Kohlschreiber.

    A real scare for Milos Raonic on the second day of the World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. The world number six lost a tie-break for the first set against Andrey Kuznetsov, who is 82 places below him in the ATP rankings.

    The Canadian responded in the second set though, an emphatic 6-1 win took the match to a decider.

    And he beat the Russian with an ace to seal a 6-7. 6-1. 7-5 win.

    Gilles Simon also came from a set down to get past Joao Sousa.

    The Frenchman lost the first set 7-5 but took the next 6-3 and won the first three games of the decider.

    The world number 19 went on to take the set 6-2 to seal his place in the second round.

    Also through is Vasek Pospisil, he beat Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber.

    The Canadian won it in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.
