"There's a lot of great riders here this year. Last year attracted a lot of the top cyclists in the world. It shows it's a great race and the top riders are back here again. I'm just excited to ride with Etixx-Quick Step and try and at least produce some stage wins and see where we get overall."

"We should see some good racing here you know. There's three sprint stages in Dubai and wind may play a factor but it didn't last year. But it's really good to get the early season rolling you know. No one's in the same form that they are going to be in July. It's just about getting the training in for the Spring and working on the team"

"There's three sprints, three definite sprints this years' tour of Dubai. So we will try and go for them, we'll try and go for four. With Etixx-Quick Step we have a strong team here and hopefully see what comes of that."
