(On her loss to Madison Keys).

"I think she played really well. I think I really started to really kind of get into the match in the second set. I just don't think I played as strong of a match as I would have liked today. Sometimes that happens and you still have to get through it. Today I just didn't."

SOUNDBITE (English) Venus Williams, USA - 18th seed:
(On her start to the season).

"It's definitely been a great last like four weeks, I think. A lot of match wins, a lot of momentum, just a lot of great things happening that everybody wants to happen in their career. I think a lot of players would have been happy with this tournament. I'm happy with progress. I'm not happy with a loss, I'll tell you that."

SOUNDBITE (English) Venus Williams, USA - 18th seed:
(On what she will take from this Grand Slam run).

"Obviously a lot of momentum is a positive. I think second, I'll learn a lot from this loss. Getting into a quarterfinals, you really want to come out and play your best. Even if you don't, you want to play yourself into the match, take your opportunities. I think I'll just learn from this and come out stronger."
