A meeting of UEFA's executive committee but it was the future of World football's governing body that dominated this news conference. Dutch FA president Michael van Praag has entered the presidential election. He is the first opponent of Sepp Blatter to announce he already has the five nominations required to run.
SOUNDBITE (English): Gianni Infantino, UEFA General Secretary
"At this moment in time, we support the fact that Michael van Praag presents himself, we support the fact that the Prince Ali presents himself , because they can make all our debate progress into something concrete. And this is what we are looking for until the 29th May."
The president of UEFA Michel Platini has not turned up to the last two news conferences, the General Secretary tried to use football to explain why.
SOUNDBITE (English): Gianni Infantino, UEFA General Secretary, on why Michel Platini didn't show up at the last two UEFA press conferences
"It's not always the same 11 who play. Sometimes we have to have a turnover and we have the substitute as well who has to come. And as long as the substitute don't play too bad, it's okay for the team at the end of the day."
That team is not formally at least endorsing Van Praag's campaign, although Platini openly hopes Blatter is finally replaced in May.
