Reaction from Chris Hughton after FA Cup holders Arsenal went through to the fifth round after a 3-2 win over his Brighton and Hove Albion side at the Amex Stadium.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Chris Hughton, Brighton manager:

"I thought we were very good and very spirited in that second half performance, but we started the game too slow. You can't do that against the quality of what Arsenal have. Fair play to Arsenal, certainly as regards the team they put out which was a strong side. I know they made some changes, but I think that was perhaps in respect to the form we're in at the moment. But you can't afford to given them that time and space."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Chris Hughton, Brighton manager: (about whether his side should have had a late penalty when a cross hit Calum Chambers' arm)

"My first impressions were no. My first impressions were that he was very, very close to it. But having seen it again he does have an outstretched arm and generally these days the referees will certainly see time and time again an incident where it's that close, where it's an outstretched arm where a penalty is given."
