Intro:
Racing Metro remain the only unbeaten side in the European Rugby Champions Cup after an impressive four-try 32-8 win at Northampton in the Champions Cup to secure a home quarter-final.
Script:
Northampton hosted Racing Metro in the European Rugby Champions Cup on Saturday - the winner would be assured top spot in Pool 5 and a home quarter-final.
And in a tight first half, the French club got themselves some breathing room with a try just before the break.
If the home side were hoping for a response at the start of the second half, their bubble was well and truly burst by a breakaway try in the 42nd minute that gave Racing a 16-3 lead.
They added another in the 45th minute when Benjamin Lapeyre spotted a gap.
George North crossed in the corner in the 49th minute to give Northampton some hope.
But that was extinguished by Jamie Roberts who showed his brute power and determination to rumble over shortly after the hour mark.
His try was converted to seal a comfortable 32-8 win for Racing Metro.
