SOUNDBITE: Sara Errani, 14th seed (On how she started the game)
"It is a Grand Slam so naturally there would be some tension, but nothing in particular out out of the ordinary. There was a lot of wind so it wasn't easy to play when we started. So I had to deal with that when we started. I also didn't know much about my opponent, so I had to learn how she played, but it was a good match."
SOUNDBITE: Sara Errani, 14th seed (On how she is feeling having had issues heading into the season)
"I've started the season so, so, but I know that I had little time to prepare physically because I got started late. Therefore physically I'm not ready, but I knew that. Playing in a big tournament is difficult, so I will have to continue my preparations throughout it. I am better, for a few days I haven't had to take any anti-inflammatories, so this is a positive thing. Besides that I am bit by bit getting better physically."
SOUNDBITE: Sara Errani, 14th seed (On her game)
"It was okay, but I didn't start hitting how I like and with rhythm. But I didn't know her and how she plays. So above all, I was trying to learn how she plays and at the start I went slowly. There were also some nerves, but my game was solid so it was good."
