    SOUNDBITE: (English) Martin Kaymer, eight-under-par:

"Yeah, I played well and I putted really well. I made ten birdies. I'm not sure if I've ever done it on a golf course, to make ten birdies. But I hit a lot of fairways. My iron shots, they were quite sharp and I made the putts, so it's very difficult to shoot a bad score when you play like this. But now the goal is not to compare myself tomorrow, to the round that happened today. Tomorrow will be a new start, but it's a brilliant start to a great tournament."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Rory McIlroy, five-under-par:

"It was good. To shoot 67, first round of the year is nice. How I got to that 67 wasn't as quite as glamorous at times. There's a couple of things I need to work on if want to have a chance to win this tournament. I need to drive the ball better for sure. I missed a few opportunities on the greens as well. But I started to get everything to come together on the back nine and I'm happy with 67."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Rickie Fowler, five-under-par:

"It was a great start. Especially the first six or so holes, I was a little shaky. I made some pars to start the round, but didn't quite feel comfortable out there. It was nice to settle in, make some birdies, turn it at two, get some going on the back nine. Unfortunately made bogey at the last. I made a really good swing and didn't exactly hit my number there. So, all in all, excited to be over here for a one. Off to a great start and looking forward to the rest of the week."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Thomas Pieters, seven-under-par:

"I've been driving it a lot better. I think that's the key out here. You've got to drive it around the fairway. I drove it long today. So I gave myself a lot of wedges in and convert some putts, It was nice."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Miguel Angel Jimenez, level par par (talking about his hole-in-one):

"It was very nice when you make a hole-in-one, it's a lot of satisfaction because especially you put two, not one, you put two less on the scorecard. That's very nice, no. But, it's a hole-in-one there, no place... (indistinct) then I finish level par today. My scorecard today, it's like a.....(speaks in Spanish) like a roller coaster. Going up and down a lot."
