NBA All Star Carmelo Anthony spoke about meeting Prince Harry in London, England on Wednesday (14th January) after the New York Knicks held a practice session to prepare for their game with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Script:SOUNDBITE: (English) Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks (on meeting Prince Harry):
"An honour. A beautiful moment. We were teaming up and representing the royal foundation and it was just a spectacular day for me - to be around those kids and the prince as well."
Q: "And the palace?"
"The palace was great. We wasn't at Buckingham, but where we was at was also a great place."
Q: "How do you find London?"
"I am always a big fan of London. A lot of memories and experiences here in London here. It's always good to be back."
Q: "Did he say anything to you, Prince Harry, at all? What was the conversation like?"
"I can't go into details exactly about what was the details of our conversation but just a little conversation here and there. Some laughs and jokes and just enjoying the day."
Q: "How's the injury?"
"The injury is all right. I am still looking forward to hopefully being out there tomorrow night.
Q: "Is Prince Harry going to come?"
"I don't know. He said that he wants to. He will try but if not I understand. He is a busy man."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks (on the Knicks bad form):
"I am still standing. I am still standing strong. Being able to sit here and keep a smile on my face. And try to look at this moment. I know there's some hard moments but I have to get through these and try to enjoy these moment because, at the end of the day, one day I can look back at this and say that this was all part of the plan."
