    SOUNDBITE (English): Martin Kaymer:
"The field is tougher, the golf course is tougher, everything has become a little bit more complicated for me to win, you know. It's one of those weeks where you wish they had never changed anything but I understand that they had to. One year unfortunately I shot two 24-under par and I thought the golf course was too easy. But that was just a very exceptional week, I was surprised a little bit as well, so we'll see how it turns out now with all the changes. But I will tell you on Sunday how I felt."

    SOUNDBITE (English): Justin Rose:
"Things thaw out pretty quickly here, I have good memories of being here, 2013 was a good run at the tournament (runner-up to Jamie Donaldson) and it was a positive way to start my season, so I'm hoping for more of the same. It's definitely a good golf course, a challenging golf course, and somewhere where I think if you are sharp with your game, you can really do well."

    SOUNDBITE (English): Henrik Stenson:
"I have managed to be second twice, so of course I would like to go one better. It's a strong field and still the first tournament of the year, so in terms of form it's hard to know, but I feel pretty good, and if I can go out and play solid this week, I hope to be up there as one of the guys who will have a chance on Sunday. That's all I can ask, but it would be nice to add this one to the other ones that I have. I won Doha (Qatar Masters) in 2006 and Dubai (Desert Classic) in 2007, and then back to back at the DP World Tour Championships (in Dubai), so it would be nice to get the Falcon trophy (awarded to Abu Dhabi winner) together with those."

    SOUNDBITE (English): Rickie Fowler:
"Some great first impressions. Before I came over here all I really heard were good things about Abu Dhabi. I was excited to get here and now that I'm here I'm excited for the week. The course is in great shape, the weather has been perfect, the hospitality has been awesome, so it's hard to ask for any more."
